MeeT Claire
Born and raised in Tacoma, WA, I worked in fundraising, events and education in the local non-profit arts community for over 10 years. My desire to help others was never fully realized in that capacity, so in my early 30’s I made the decision to completely change my career path in order to follow my long desired dream of becoming a massage therapist.
I traveled to the Southwest to attend Arizona School of Massage Therapy where I received my education in 2016. One of the more extensive programs available, I studied everything from Russian Sports Massage to Eastern modalities like Shiatsu and Acupressure. Graduating with a 4.0, I passed my national exams and came back to Washington state to practice and gain experience in the healthcare setting, working at Alternative Back Care Physical Therapy.
To further assist clients in their goals of creating a more harmonious balance in the body, I became certified as a Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine with specializations in Golf Fitness and Assisted Stretching and Flexibility. I also received my Golf Swing Assessment Certification through Titleist Professional Institute. I have continued to advance my knowledge as a practitioner by becoming certified in cupping, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, kinesio taping, Thai Yoga Massage, infant massage, and many other modalities.
I love what I do. I love being of service to others. I love seeing the positive changes in bodies, moods, and lifestyle choices. This is the only body we have, so let’s make the investment in ourselves so that we can enjoy life to its fullest!
